Uzma Kaleem, President 

Uzma Kaleem is the President of the New York chapter of CAMP and a member of the organizing committee for the national conference.  She has been active at the local level with CAMP since moving to New York City from the Washington, DC area.  She enjoys giving back to the community through volunteerism.  Helping others professionally is key to her personal satisfaction. 

 

Uzma is currently a National Account Manager with Mimeo, an on-demand digital print solution.  Prior to Mimeo.com, she worked in a variety of business development, sales and marketing roles at Neustar, The Walt Disney Company and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Uzma graduated Cum Laude from the School of Management at George Mason University, double majoring in Marketing and Management Information Systems.  While at GMU, she was President of the Pakistan Students Association as well as a member of the American Marketing Association.

 

In her spare time Uzma has been trying to figure out if nothing sticks to Teflon, how do they get it to stick to the pan? 

 

 Aamer Hayat, Vice President 

Aamer is Manager with Deloitte Tax LLP's Multistate Tax group.  Aamer has been with Deloitte for 6 years and has worked with them in Chicago, Los Angeles, Hyderabad and NYC.  While inLos Angeles, Aamer was one of the founding members of CAMP- LA as well as MSA-UCLA Alumni Association.  Aamer is currently Vice President of CAMP-NY.

 

Aamer received his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law and a B.A. in English from UCLA.  While at Northwestern,

Aamer served as president of both the Muslim Law Student Association and South Asian Law Student Association.  He was also active in Admissions, Faculty recruiting, and student government. While at UCLA, Aamer was a Director for the Incarcerated Youth Tutorial Program and the Social Director for the MSA.  

 

In his spare time, Aamer ponders over important questions such as "Is it correct to put milk in a bowl first or the cereal first?" 

 

Saima Khan, Treasurer

 

Saima Khan was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. She went on to pursue her undergraduate degree in psychology at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and then obtained a Masters in Health Services Administration (MHSA) and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Xavier University, in Cincinnati, Ohio. 

 

Currently, Saima is working as a Performance Improvement Consultant / Six Sigma Blackbelt in the health care industry in New York City. In addition to serving on the Board of CAMP-NY, Saima is also a Board Member of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC-NY) and was selected to be part of a National Taskforce for Health Affordability with the Association of Muslim Health Professionals (AMHP). 

 

Most recently however, Saima was selected as a "Muslim Leader of Tomorrow" by the Asma Society and Cordoba Initiative. Saima has been most actively involved spearheading community service, networking, public policy, health advocacy events through the various organizations that she works with. Saima is most passionate about helping the underserved, community building activities, and civic engagement in the political process.

 

Salman Malik, Secretary
